US HDD-Parts Maker Plans Huge Investment inThailand
 Well renowned as the world’s top three hard disk parts suppliers, Hutchinson Technology Inc (HTI) is investing THB4.3 billion for the first production center outside its home base in the United States here in Thailand, owing to the attractive investment destination, favorable business climate and skilled workforce. This production unit will mainly serve hard disk drive (HDD) manufacturers in Thailand; however, it plans for exports to China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines, in the next two years.
Also, other world’s leading HDD manufacturers with their large production facilities here include Hitachi Global Storage, Seagate Technology, Toshiba and Western Digital.
