FUJIKURA ELECTRONICS

IS READY TO RAISE THE BAR OF PRODUCTIVITY AT NEPCON THAILAND

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every country around the world especially in the economic and industrial aspects. Mr. Suriyadet Phootamnong, Department Manager for Production Division of FUJIKURA ELECTRONICS (THAILAND) LTD. has disclosed about the company’s strategies during this challenge to the team of NEPCON Thailand.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the incoming supplies of raw materials and other products from China which is the world’s largest midstream product exporter. Due to the Chinese government’s restriction, electronics parts manufacturers in Thailand have been affected at different degrees depending on the level of reliance on their supplies from China. The most obvious problem is the stagnation in the production line, resulting in ineffective planning and unemployment.

This situation has encouraged us to look for other sources of raw materials in the meantime, which could result in initial higher investment cost. However, this is the opportunity for manufacturers to automate their production lines to reduce cost systematically in a long run, and be able to adjust their productivity instantly upon any crisis such as the one we are currently facing.

Since our company manufacturers PCB, any errors occur will be very tiny that we need highly precise vision inspection machine to help detect any deficiencies that cannot be observed with our own eyes.

We are planning to look for these machines as well as other equipment to empower our efficiency at NEPCON Thailand, because in addition to exhibiting the technologies directly relevant to our industry, it promotes the get-together and information sharing among machinery providers and factories who use their machines. When more new machinery providers show up, it enables competition on quality and prices.”
