Participation Policy for the Event or the Seminar

 

Attendance and Participation
Only pre-registered visitors who are badge holders, visitors who register onsite, and exhibitors who are badge holders will be able to attend the Event and Seminar (collectively, “Event”) held by RX BITEC (“Organiser”). (*Only those 15 years of age or above are eligible to register.) Admission is open to professional and business visitors and exhibitors who are involved in or have a direct connection or interest in the subject area of the Event or associated industries or organisations.

 

Data Sharing

  • By choosing to allow their badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor during the Event, participants of the Event (each, a “Participant”, and collectively, “Participants”) will be providing their name and contact details (including personal information) provided at the registration to the exhibitor or sponsor, who may contact them about their products or services in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • Participants agree and consent to share and provide their name and contact details when scanning their badge.

 

Badge Security

  • Participants must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else. Loaning or transferring to others is strictly prohibited.
  • Any failure to comply with this provision, or any provision in this policy, is likely to lead to the Participant and the person wearing the badge being removed from the Event.
  • Anyone obtaining a badge by theft, deception or other illegal means will likely be asked to leave the Event.

 

Identity Check
Anyone attending the Event should carry and produce on request of the Organiser a personal photo-ID (e.g., passport, photo-ID driving license, national identity card) or other identification acceptable to the Organiser.

 

Age Limits
Anyone under the age of 20 will only be able to attend the Event if they are accompanied by their legal guardian (20 years old or older).

 

Service Animals                       
With the exception of guide dogs or other service animals, no pets or animals of any description will be allowed into the Event.

 

Activity
Anyone attending the Event must not take part in any canvassing, leafleting, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or wear offensive apparel or be involved in any activity which may disrupt the Event.

 

Press

  • Press badges at the Event are restricted to publishers, editors, journalists, photographers, broadcasters and web bloggers associated with the industry.
  • All members of the press must wear the badges distributed in the press room.

 

Photography and Recording

  • Photographers and film crew may be taking photographs and recording and/or streaming videos at the Event. Each attendee authorises such photography and recording and permits the Organiser, its parents, affiliates, sublicensees, designees, agents and assignees (including, without limitation, any sponsors, exhibitors or contractors to the Event) to use the attendee’s image, likeness, appearance, and/or voice and to publish, reproduce, portray, distribute and/or otherwise use the image, likeness, appearance, and/or voice in all media formats (whether now known or hereafter existing), worldwide, solely in connection with the distribution, promotion and publicity of both the Event (including future editions thereof) and Organiser’s general business, services or products, without liability, compensation or credit to the attendee. If the attendee is under the age of 20, such attendee’s legal guardian consents on their behalf.
  • No exhibitor nor visitor to the Event may take photographs or make any form of recording (including audio or video) on any media at the Event under any circumstances without the prior written permission of the person(s) photographed and/or the manager of subject (of photography), or unless as approved by the Organiser.

 

Reservation of Rights
The Organiser reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from the Event and the venue who does not comply with this policy or who they reasonably consider is likely to break these rules or who is prohibited from attending under any applicable sanctions, laws or regulations, or otherwise at the Organiser’s discretion.

 

Privacy

By participating in the Event or by submitting information to Organiser in connection with the Event, Participant agrees to the terms of Organiser’s Privacy Policy, located at https://privacy.rxglobal.com/ and which may be updated by Organiser at any time. A Participant’s continued participation in the Event shall constitute a Participant’s acceptance of any such updated Privacy Policy. All Participants are expected to review the Privacy Policy carefully before participating in the Event and Participant acknowledges that, in the event of a conflict or inconsistency between these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, the terms of the Privacy Policy shall prevail, govern and control.

If Participant has questions, comments or requests regarding Organiser’s Privacy Policy or how Organiser processes personal information, Participant may also access Organiser’s “Privacy Center” at any time at: https://privacy.rxglobal.com/en-gb/privacy-centre.html.

 

Event Policies

At all times in connection with the Event, Participant is required to comply with and behave in accordance with (i) this Participation Policy; (ii) all applicable laws, ordinances, codes, regulations, standards and judicial or administrative orders; and (iii) any additional Event rules, regulations, codes of conduct, policies, terms of use or procedures which may be posted at the Venue or otherwise distributed to Participants by Organiser and as may be updated from time to time by Organiser (collectively, the “Event Policies”). By Participating in the Event, Participant acknowledges and agrees that Participant has read, agrees to comply with, and will behave in accordance with the Event Policies.

The Event Policies apply to EVERYONE participating in the Event in any manner whatsoever, including, but not limited to, all Participants, exhibitors, attendees, speakers, guests, professionals, media, staff members, workers, contractors, vendors, volunteers, security or anyone else participating in any way. Each Participant is solely responsible for their own conduct while Participating in the Event or any part of the Event.

As part of the Event Policies, each Participant agrees that they will not, and will not directly or indirectly cause others to, do any of the following “Prohibited Activities” in connection with the Event:

(i)                 interfere with, damage, or engage in any act which disrupts the operation of the Event in any way, including but not limited to, obstructing aisles or entrances or exits, running, cutting in line, saving places in lines for others, jumping over barriers or guardrails, using foul language, screaming, yelling, encouraging disruptive behavior from others, disobeying any time limits, directions or prohibitions provided to Participant by Organiser’s staff and/or moderators, or preventing any other participant from Participating in the Event by any means;

(ii)               distribute, wear, transmit, upload, display or otherwise circulate any content which is inaccurate, unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, harassing, threatening, abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable to Organiser in Organiser’s sole discretion;

(iii)             distribute printed or recorded materials of any kind unless prior written approval has been obtained from Organiser;

(iv)             impersonate any other person or entity or perform any similar fraudulent activities;

(v)               sell goods or services, display goods or services, make solicitations of any kind, or conduct any commercial activities without the prior written approval of Organiser;

(vi)             harvest, collect, or attempt to collect the personal information, email addresses or other contact information of other participants in the Event without the consent of such participants without the prior written consent of Organiser;

(vii)           defame, harass, abuse, threaten or defraud other participants in the Event.

(viii)         circumvent, disable, damage, remove or otherwise interfere with the security, integrity, or proper conduct of the Event;

(ix)             access any unauthorized part of the Event designated as only for Organiser use;

(x)               access the Platform by means of any robot, spider, scraper, crawler or other automated means for any purpose;

(xi)             Participate in the Event for any illegal purpose, or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation, including, without limitation, laws governing intellectual property and other proprietary rights, data protection and privacy;

(xii)           smoke within the Venue for a live Event, which includes, but is not limited to, cigarettes, vape pens, and marijuana;

(xiii)         drink or possess alcohol within the Venue outside of the specifically designated areas. No one under the age of 20 may consume alcohol within or around the Venue;

(xiv)         use, sell, possess, or distribute any illegal drugs or other illegal substances, including, but not limited to, any medication that has not been legally obtained, is not being used in its intended dosage or for its intended purpose;

(xv)           assault, steal, fight, engage in or incite violence of any kind, including, but not limited to, verbal threats of violence; and

(xvi)         possess and/or use any of the following prohibited items in connection with the Event:

  • a firearm, ammunition, knife, or weapon of any kind;
  • objects or toys that appear to be firearms, ammunition, knives, or weapons;
  • self-defense or restraining devices;
  • fireworks or other explosive or flammable objects;
  • glass containers;
  • recreational devices such as drones, remote control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates or shoes with built-in wheels;
  • strollers;
  • folding chairs;
  • balloons.

NOTE: Organiser has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for weapons of any kind. Event security and local law enforcement officials will treat anything that looks like a real gun as a real gun.

 

Safety and Security 
Personal belongings must be carried at all times and not left unattended.

Please be advised that a risk of exposure to communicable disease, including COVID-19, exists in any event or public space, including the Event. Prior to registering for and attending the Event, each Participant must ensure they have read the latest public health guidance for the location of the Event. By attending the Event, Participant acknowledges this inherent risk on behalf of Participant (“You”) and, as a condition of entering the Event, You acknowledge, understand and confirm that You will abide by all terms of admission and participation (as may be updated from time to time) and Event health-and-safety requirements, all local public health regulations and guidance from the relevant city and/or state which are in effect at the time of entry, and, where applicable, provide proof of compliance with any Event entry requirements.

Participant’s interactions with third parties, including, but not limited to, guests and other participants in connection with the Event, are solely between Participant and such third party. Participant acknowledges and agrees that Organiser will not be responsible for any damages, losses, costs, expenses, or liabilities incurred as the result of such interactions with third parties.

After the event, please dispose of your admission badge on the event site or upon your return home, and do not dispose of it in the trash cans outside the Event site.

 

Assumption of Risk and Release

Participant acknowledges that there are hazards and risks incidental to participating in the Event. By accepting credentials and/or by participating in the Event, Participant freely and voluntarily assumes any and all risks which are incidental to the Event, regardless of severity and regardless of whether or not caused by the negligence of Organiser, including, but not limited to, loss, property damage, injury or damage to persons and/or death. Further, Participant acknowledges that there is an inherent risk of exposure to communicable disease, including, but not limited to, COVID-19, in any public place where people are present, and, by participating in the Event, Participant freely and voluntarily assumes any and all risks related to such exposure. Participant agrees to follow all health and safety instructions, guidelines, or standards issued by local and national governmental authorities, as well as any health and safety instructions, guidelines, or standards for the Event which may be posted on-site at the Event’s venue, or as otherwise provided to Participant by Organiser.

In consideration for participating in the Event, Participant hereby releases and forever discharges Organiser, the Event’s venue, each of their parent, affiliated, and subsidiary companies, and each of their respective agents, employees, officers, directors, trustees, shareholders, contractors, sponsors, and any third parties acting on their behalf (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses (including attorney fees) which are related to, arise from or out of, or are in any way connected to Participant’s participation in the Event, whether or not such claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses are caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or by the infringement or violation of any right. This release shall be effective and binding upon any heirs, agents, personal representatives or assigns of Participant.
